The Emerald Casino purchased 3/4 of the floor space at the local Clondalkin snooker pub called “Q’s Snooker Club”. Now this space is used as a casino called Emerald Casino – Clondalkin Q’s. Clondalkin is actually a suburban community located about 6 miles east of Dublin, Ireland’s capital.

Getting to Clondalkin is quite easy as it is located very close to Dublin International Airport. You can take the bus, rent a car, use the airport shuttle, or take the train. In terms of opening hours, Clondalkin Q’s is open every day of the year 24 hours a day.

Dressing up in Clondalkin Q’s is optional because there is no dress code, but you must always wear closed shoes. In addition, you must be 18 years of age or older to play here and will most likely be asked to provide some form of identification, simply because gambling laws in Ireland are very strict.

Casino at Clondalkin Q’s

Emerald Casino’s newest gaming incarnation, Clondalkin Q’s, is best known for the high-limit poker tournaments it hosts on a regular basis. At the time of this writing, in the last month alone, first-place prizes have been around €25,000, €20,000 and €15,000, with a prize pool of over €100,000.

This is not your typical large Las Vegas-style casino with lush carpets, impressive atmosphere and bright lights. Instead, it looks more like a historic Irish pub. By all accounts, this is the atmosphere that the casino is aiming for, and it seems to have achieved this. The regulars are mostly poker players and those who like to take risks on slot machines.

This is a very small casino, consisting of a poker room where most of the gambling takes place and a few slot machines dotted around the exterior walls of the casino rather than grouped together.

Board games

To be honest, Clondalkin Q’s doesn’t have a great selection of board games. The casino features three main table games, blackjack, Caribbean stud poker, as well as poker cash games and tournaments. In fact, most of the casino customers come to frequent poker tournaments and poker games for money.

There are 3 and 5 reel slots available and most of them have fixed jackpots. There are also a small handful of standalone progressive slots. These progressive jackpots are small, but they pay out better than fixed jackpot slots.
